At Westview we are extremely fortunate to have an amazing staff
REVEREND MARTIN LETTOW - PASTOR - pastormarty@westviewboulder.org
Reverend Martin Lettow has been serving as an ELCA Pastor for a little over a couple decades now, and continues his passion and efforts to help move the church in new and exciting ways. Pastor Marty shares a love for teaching and preaching and connecting with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through both Word and Sacrament. Marty grew up a Lutheran farm boy from Iowa, graduated with a BA in Political Science from Iowa State University in Ames, and then an M Div at PLTS in Berkeley. Serving congregations in New York, California, and Colorado has given a deep perspective on the challenges, practices, and opportunities for the church to move into the future. Pastor Marty joined the Westview church team in July 2023 as a half-time contract Pastor, to help lead worship and provide spiritual support for the folks here, and to help with outreach efforts.
Pastor Marty is married to Cat, and they have three children Gabriella, Grace, and Julian and have lived in Boulder county for about 16 years. Marty has been known to brew beer, play guitar and drums, get lost exploring trails and streams in Colorado, cheer for the SF Giants, and suffering the legacy of being an Iowa State Cyclone fan.
Jimmy was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He began piano lessons at age seven after his parents heard him picking out tunes on the family piano. Jimmy began singing in high school after being urged to audition for the fall musical; he began singing in choir the next year and has remained in love with the choral experience ever since. Jimmy received his B.A. in Music from Concordia University, where he studied piano with Ms. Patricia Riffel and conducting with Dr. Michael Busch. He received his Master’s Degree in choral conducting and literature from CU Boulder, where he studied with Dr. Gregory Gentry and Dr. Andrea Ramsey. Jimmy has performed with the Denver Gay Men’s Chorus, the Collegium Musicum Early Music Ensemble at Regis University, and has conducted and sung with numerous church choirs throughout the Denver area. He currently teaches at Skyline High School. Jimmy’s excitement for choral music is unyielding, and he believes the future holds unlimited potential for singing communities and their ability to enhance the human experience.
